Miko Dela Studio: Innovative Filmmaking in Bavaria
In the digital world we live in, video advertising is a must for most companies - and having a compelling video can set you apart. That’s where I come in. With innovative VFX, 3D artistry, and years of experience as a photographer, I help small businesses present their vision to clients.
The technology has advanced so much, that what the effects that needed all Hollywood tech and budget in the 1990s, are now possible in my small studio, with a much better bang-for-the-buck ratio. I’m fascinated by it so much that I left my well-paid job at Google to do this.
My approach works best for small businesses (<50 employees) that are starting out with online advertising and want an innovative approach. I’m based in Holzkirchen, 35 km away from Munich.
If this resonates with you, you’ll be delighted with what I have to offer. My strengths include:
Expertise in VFX, 3D and AI, bringing a creative edge to your content. Here’s a video if you want to see me in action.
A keen eye for visuals that just look good, trained in decades of photography and design work.
Flexibility in project management, adapting to your specific needs.
Strong focus on delivering measurable results for your online campaigns.
Bringing this unique blend to your business
Creative, Honest Ads
I make ads that feel relatable. It’s not just about selling a product; it's about creating a connection that will be remembered.
Virtual Filming Locations
Imagine filming in a palace, a skyscraper, or a spaceship without the hefty location costs. That's what I offer. I can create high-end 3D virtual filming locations for your videos.
Product Images for E-commerce
When you're selling hundreds of similar products (like books, t-shirts, cases, cosmetics), each needing consistent images and videos in an online store, I offer an effective 3D template-based solution.
With these techniques, I can make product videos for anything.
Collaborating with you was a standout experience. I liked your openness and willingness to understand the poetic message when we were planning the project. I admired your courage to work on cutting edge technologies and put a lot of effort into learning new skills immediately to fulfill our vision. And moreover, your fooling-around-style of creativity and your sense of humour even in difficult moments of our work, transformed our garage shoot into a dynamic set.
A brief note on my collaboration with Miko: Our goal was to create an advertisement for leather shoes. I was really impressed with the video Miko produced. His creativity and swift execution of the idea were remarkable! The choice of music was spot-on, and the color selection was just right. The video was well-received and exceeded my expectations!
Very reliable partner! Always very well prepared! Great working with you and always a lot of fun!
I have had the pleasure of working with Miko for multiple years at Google, both as a peer and as his people manager. On our team, Miko designed multiple complex and dynamic components (...). The solutions were always of very high quality, and he is often looking beyond the task at hand at the larger picture to solve the problem in a maintainable and extendable way. (...) He is a talented engineer with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.
Crafting your story, step by step
Here’s an outline of creating a video with Miko Dela Studio:
Crafting the Scenario: I start by understanding your brand and objectives. This involves discussions and brainstorming sessions to craft a scenario that aligns with your goals. Expect a collaborative process where I develop the script and storyboard, ensuring every shot is purposeful and impactful.
Pre-production Planning: Once the scenario is mostly set, I dive into planning. This phase includes casting (if needed), location scouting, and scheduling. I also handle the technical preparations, such as equipment and set design, ensuring everything aligns with the vision.
The Shoot (1-3 days): This is where the magic happens. The shooting phase can last from a single day to a few days, depending on the complexity of the video. I organize all the needed equipment and focus on capturing the essence of your message.
Post-Production: After filming, I move to editing, where the story comes together. This phase includes cutting, color grading, adding VFX (visual effects), and sound design. Its duration varies a lot depending on how much VFX work is neceessary. I send you regular updates on my progress.
Final Review and Revisions: I present the video to you for review. This stage allows for final tweaks or adjustments, ensuring the result meets your exact specifications.
Delivery and Publishing Assistance: Once you’re satisfied, I finalize the video and assist in preparing it for publishing. Whether it’s for your online store, YouTube channel or social media ad, I ensure the video is in the right format and provide guidance on best practices for distribution.
The total timeframe depends heavily on the project, but it’s typically from 1 to 4 months.
This process is a general guide and will be always tailored to fit project-specific requirements.
You can produce videos for millions of euro, or zero, or anything in between. It’s up to you how much you want to invest.
For me, the sweet spot for budgets is between €1,000 and €25,000. This range offers a good balance of creativity, quality, and affordability.
If this seems too much, maybe you just need a videographer instead. If you have more to spend, you can probably afford hiring a large cinema production studio.
